These commitments have allowed me to build a roster of work that includes Apple Inc., Martina Flor, Laura Worthington, Tobias Frere-Jones, Underware, Neil Summerour, Google, Joana Correia, TypeTogether, the Association Typographique Internationale (ATypI), 365Typo Volume 1 and 2, Roger Black and TYPE Magazine, Type Network, as TypeCon workshop instructor, and many others.

My wide-ranging background and interests help me approach text from the perspective of a designer and design from the mindset of an editor. I have worked on branding, researched and chosen typefaces to set a tone, taught about writing and editing and using type, edited peer-reviewed research journal articles, and even played drums on an album. With ten books to my ghostwriting and editing credit, an Advertising Artist’s Guild Award, a nursing degree, a graphic design degree, and a decade in real estate, I’m a perpetual learner who likes to stay productive.

I make my home amidst an arts resurgence in America’s silicon prairie, Kansas City, where I have taught typography and design at the renowned Kansas City Art Institute (KCAI).
